Ceramics for your home
I am a potter based in suburban Philadelphia. I make functional porcelain and stoneware pottery.
I love the outdoors and try to capture nature in my work. I am particularly inspired by the New England coast and the Rockies. I make my pieces with a variety of clays, frequently mixing them or marbling them to get interesting effects.
All items are handmade by me using food safe glazes. They are microwave and dishwasher safe.

About Me
Better Late Than Never .........
..........I came to ceramics late in life. I dabbled a few times with one of my sons when he was working out of studios in Philadelphia and the University of Vermont. But I never had the chance to make a piece from start to finish.
And then in 2018, at the tender age of 63, I decided to take a few classes at a local community arts center. I had no training in art. And no real expectations. The decision to take classes was maybe more social than artistic.
At first I was a bit intimidated by the talented people around me, but I soon felt at home. I loved throwing on the wheel. I completed pieces -- threw, trimmed and glazed! The pieces were small and often asymmetrical -- my first piece is pictured here. But I loved the process. More importantly, I connected with a great teacher and plugged into a wonderful, diverse and supportive community of ceramic artists. People who taught and inspired me. People who became friends.
It's been a great journey for me. I hope some pieces on this site resonate with you enough to welcome one or two into your home.
